Using Sleep Mode on iPhone

Sleep Mode on iPhone is a feature that helps you manage your sleep schedule, limit distractions, and ensure your phone is ready to help you sleep better. Better sleep is essential to a yoga routine, so you can wake up early and get the benefits of starting the day with a boost of energy from yoga and meditation. Here is how you can use the tips and tricks to help you become an early riser and get into Yoga routine.

Let us use all the tools that are available to us to our advantage. Here’s an easy guide on how to use it:

Step 1: Open the Health App

  • First, find and open the Health app on your iPhone. The app icon looks like a white heart on a red background.

Step 2: Set Up Sleep Schedule

  • Once in the Health app, tap Browse at the bottom, then choose Sleep.
  • Under the Sleep section, tap Full Schedule & Options to set up your sleep schedule.

Step 3: Choose Your Sleep Times

  • Tap Set Up Sleep if you haven’t already set it up. You’ll see options to set your bedtime and wake-up time.
  • Choose your preferred Bedtime (the time you want to go to sleep) and Wake Up Time (when you want to wake up).
  • After setting the times, tap Add or Done.

Step 4: Enable Sleep Mode (Focus Mode)

  • Once you’ve set your sleep schedule, your iPhone will automatically enter Sleep Mode when it’s time for bed.
  • Sleep Mode activates Focus Mode, which silences notifications and dims the screen to reduce distractions. You can also enable Wind Down to remind you to relax before bed.

Step 5: Sleep Mode at Bedtime

  • When Sleep Mode activates, your iPhone will show a calming screen with only essential information visible.
  • If you want to manually turn on Sleep Mode outside of your schedule, go to Control Center, and tap on the Focus icon (moon-shaped).

Step 6: Wake Up with Gentle Alerts

  • When it’s time to wake up, your iPhone will send you a gentle notification, even if it’s in Sleep Mode. Your phone will gradually wake you with a soothing alarm, and the screen will brighten slowly.
